Ventura, officially known as San Buenaventura, is located 63 miles north of Los Angeles, . One of the oldest cities in California, Ventura was established in 1782 with the founding of the Mission San Buenaventura. Located equally between Malibu and Santa Barbara, where California highway 101 meets the Pacific Ocean, Ventura's world famous Surfers Point feature some of the longest waves and rides in California.

The vibrant downtown, just 2 blocks fron the beach and pier, has dozens of restaurants, bars, shops, gallaries, the county museum and over 80 historic landmarks.
